Whale Training 2010

On the weekend of February 20th, 2010, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) representative, Dr. Ian Robinson visited with the Zoological Society of Trinidad and Tobago Inc. (ZSTT) to accompany officials to the Brigand Hill Animal Rehabilitation Keep (BHARK).  This center is a joint project between the Manatee Conservation Trust (MCT) and the ZSTT. IFAW has provided assistance towards this centre which will provide sanctuary for orphaned, injured, and illegally confiscated wildlife species in trade by authorities.

While here, Dr. Robinson also held discussions with representatives of the ZSTT, Manatee Conservation Trust (MCT), Caribbean Animal Welfare Association (CAWA) and other stakeholders to finalize a workshop on whale training for Caribbean communities to be hosted in Manzanilla.
