Zoo Information

Opening Hours/Admission

Mon - Fri 8:00am to 5:30pm, Weekends & Public Holidays - 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Details posted at the entrance.

General Admission (VAT Inclusive)

12 years and under – TT $15.00
13 years and over – TT $30.00

Refreshments

The Zoo’s Café is opened throughout the year and coincides with the opening hours of the Zoo.

Souvenirs

Zoo souvenirs are sold at the “Zoo Shoppe” located obliquely opposite the Zoo Café. Don’t forget to pick up a few before leaving.

Portable Radios

Restricted to use with ear phones to minimize disturbance to the animals and other visitors.

Lost Property

Visitors are asked to hand in any items found to the Front Office or Cashier. Items lost should be reported to the Front Office or Cashier.

Feeding Times

Monkeys are fed everyday at 2:00pm.
Big cat feeding - 3:00pm.
Giraffe feeding- 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm & 4:00pm
Reptiles including snakes and crocodilians are fed after 12 noon on weekends.
Patrons are asked not to feed the animals while visiting the Emperor Valley Zoo as all animals are on prescribed diets.

Educational guided tours are available. Bookings can be made by calling or texting the contact numbers below.

Tours booked more than 24 hrs in advance:
Tour groups up to 30 persons- $300 TT plus regular entrance fees
Tour groups 30 to 60 persons- $600 TT plus regular entrance fees
(FOR EVERY 30 PERSONS $300)

Tours booked less than 24 hrs in advance:
Tour groups up to 30 persons- $500 TT plus regular entrance fees
Tour groups 30 to 60 persons- $1000 TT plus regular entrance fees
(FOR EVERY 30 PERSONS $500)

Pets

To safeguard the health of our animals and to prevent them from becoming stressed, pets are not permitted to enter the EVZ.

Photography

Permission must be obtained for commercial photography. A fee is charged.

WARNING

  • Animals are on special diets. Feeding by the public is prohibited.
  • Do not throw anything into pools or enclosures—cellophane and polythene wrappers are especially dangerous to animals.
  • Barriers and rails are provided for safety. They are not for reaching across or for using as seats — Never Cross a Barrier.
  • Please keep the Zoo clean.
  • Our Zoo staff are there to assist. They can be identified by their uniform and would be pleased to help you.
