Ms. Mayia Rampersad is the holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Sector Management from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine as well as two Diplomas in Administrative Management and Public Sector Management.
Ms. Rampersad is currently employed at the St. Mary’s Children’s Home for the past four years and is charged with the responsibility of supervising the operations of the Accounting Unit, preparing financial statements, payroll, draft estimates and other related duties.
She was previously employed with the Zoological Society of Trinidad and Tobago Inc. (ZSTT) for a period of ten years from 1996 to 2006. While there, she functioned as a Clerk III responsible for assisting in the general operations of the Administrative Office, particularly in the areas of Accounting and Personnel (HR) matters, and overseeing office staff. She is also past Treasurer of the ZSTT from 2008-July 2010.
Prior to this Ms. Rampersad has gained experience working with the Cocoa and Coffee Industry Board (1987-96) and the Port of Spain City Corporation (1982-19).
